In this article, you will see the best games to play after finishing GTA. Use the links in the description to get more details about each GTA like game. I made the list to help you get the game you want.

Grand theft auto is an amazing game with a vast open-world, fast cars, and lots of bullets. Playing it was thrilling and fascinating!

But now you finished the game you want to keep the same experience. So let’s get going and start the GTA like games – 10 Amazing Games Similar To GTA.

#10 Sleeping Dogs

Sleeping Dogs is an action-adventure video game developed by United Front Games and published by Square Enix.

Its story is captivating! The Action is Set in contemporary Hong Kong, and the story follows Wei Shen, an undercover Chinese-American police officer on assignment to infiltrate the Sun On Yee Triad organization.

Gameplay focuses on Shen’s fighting, shooting and parkour abilities, and on gadgets that can be used for combat and exploration.

In this amazing GTA like game, you will steal cars, shoot enemies, beat up the bad guys, hack camera systems, and many, many more.

Shooting, driving, and open-world exploring are the best features of this game. A lot of gamers consider Sleeping Dogs more fun to play than GTA IV.

#9 Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor

Shadow of mordor

This is another thirling, open-world game.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an open world action-adventure video game.

I played it twice and it is intensive and fun. Spoiler alert some missions are extremely difficult which is annoying but you will feel great after finishing those.

The game takes place between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. You will control Talion, a Ranger who bonds with the wraith of the Elf Lord Celebrimbor, as the two set out to avenge the deaths of their loved ones. Players can engage in melee combat, and use wraith abilities to fight and manipulate enemies.

Gamers who looked for GTA like games loved playing Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, especially the Lord of the Rings fans.

#8 Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption

This game has the same developer as Grand theft Auto: Rockstar games.

The shortest way to describe it is GTA in the Wild Wide West. The story is set in 1899 in a fictionalized representation of the Western, Midwestern, and Southern United States and follows outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. Arthur must deal with the decline of the Wild West whilst attempting to survive against government forces, rival gangs, and other adversaries.

Players who enjoyed GTA love this game because it is captivating and super fun to play.

Although it is an old game Red Dead Redemption 1, the first game from the franchise launched in 2010 it is still worth playing because it is a great adventure game. The best idea is to play it before you play Red Dead Redemption 2. You see… the old games are usually annoying to play after you played the newer version because in the new version there are a lot of upgrades that make the gameplay even more attractive. And once you played the new game it is annoying to go back to an older version.

Play Red Dead Redemption 2.

#7 Hitman 2

Hitman 2

Want more GTA like games? Thry Hitman 2.

Although this game seems so far away from the GTA and it doesn’t feature all the blood and violence gamers are used to from Grand theft auto, this game is super funny, therefore GTA fans love it.

The game follows the Simpson family and their friend Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, who witness many strange incidents that occur in Springfield; security cameras, mysterious vans, crop circles, and a “new and improved” flavor of the popular soft drink Buzz Cola that causes insanity. Taking matters into their own hands, they discover numerous shocking secrets, and soon realize these incidents are part of a larger alien conspiracy, caused by Kang and Kodos. The gameplay largely focuses on exploration and missions; players often race enemies and interact with supporting characters on timed quests. The game also features many elements found in role-playing games, such as a branching storyline and side tasks.

Set in a post-apocalyptic Oregon two years after the start of a global pandemic, former outlaw-turned-drifter Deacon St. John discovers the possibility of his wife Sarah still being alive, which leads Deacon on a quest to find her. Players can use firearms, melee weapons and improvised weapons, and can use stealth to defend against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures known as Freakers. Gods of war

This game is for both Grand theft auto and Assassin’s Creed series fans!

Based on Greek mythology, the game is set in ancient Greece with vengeance as its central motif. The player controls the protagonist and former God of War Kratos, after his betrayal at the hands of his father Zeus, King of the Olympian gods. Reigniting the Great War, Kratos ascends Mount Olympus until he is abandoned by the Titan Gaia. Guided by Athena’s spirit, Kratos battles monsters, gods, and Titans in a search for Pandora, without whom he cannot open Pandora’s Box, defeat Zeus, and end the reign of the Olympian gods.

#3 Yakuza 0

Yakuza 0

Yakuza series is one of the most played by gamers wanting more GTA like games.

Yakuza 0 is a must after playing GTA!

This game continues the adventures of Kazuma Kiryu from Yakuza and Yakuza 2. The game takes place both in Kamurocho, a fictional version of Tokyo’s red-light district Kabukicho, from the first two games and in a brand new location called Ryukyu.

The story starts in February 2007, shortly after the events of Yakuza 2, with Kiryu and Haruka in a cemetery, where most of their friends and family are buried. Hoping to leave his past behind for good, Kazuma plans to take over the orphanage in Okinawa, but first pays a visit to his old rival, Goro Majima, who has since left the yakuza to become a legitimate businessman. Concerned that Daigo Dojima, the man he picked to become Sixth Chairman of the Tojo Clan, is too inexperienced, Kiryu persuades Majima to rejoin the clan as a “patriarch”, or gang boss.

#1 is my personal favorite. It is  Assassin’s Creed Odyssey!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Although it is not as close to GTA as other games I placed it on number one because this is one of the most amazing video games I ever played! Thrilling and captivating with an engaging story is the simplest way to describe it.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey places more emphasis on role-playing elements than previous games in the series. The game contains dialogue options, branching quests, and multiple endings. The player is able to choose between siblings Alexios and Kassandra as to whom they use as the main character. The game features a notoriety system in which mercenaries chase after the player if they commit crimes like killing or stealing in the presence of others.

The player character is a Greek mercenary and a descendant of the Spartan king Leonidas I. They inherit his broken spear, which is forged into a blade to become a weapon that grants the player special abilities in combat. The game uses a skill tree system that allows the player to unlock new abilities. The three skill trees are “hunter”, which focuses on ranged attacks through the use of a bow & arrow, “warrior”, which focuses on weapons-based combat (swords, spears, axes, etc.), and “assassin”, which focuses on stealth and silent take-downs. This replaces the system used in Origins, which granted the player a series of passive abilities.

Play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
