The Bluetooth speakers and music systems are becoming more and more popular these days. Until now I had the pleasure of testing some good products such as the Cygnett Soundwave Bluetooth Speaker and Dock or the Wireless Mini Portable Rechargeable Bluetooth 3.0 Stereo Speakers.
The latest product I received to review is the Intempo Big Beat.
Intempo Big Beat features and specs:
- it connects to Bluetooth devices via Bluetooth V 2.1

Intempo Big Beat review
Intempo Big Beat is not a portable Bluetooth speaker system. It was created to deliver a powerful and clear sound therefore the device is big, measuring approximately 50 x 20 x 17 cm (19 x 8 x 7 inch) . The increased size it is because the device incorporates two 10W speakers and a 30W subwoofer.
The Big Beat is black and has a beautiful design. When the music is playing on the front panned the sound “will come alive” with the help of LEDs.
The sound quality and really good and this device also features Equalizer functions. You can choose between Pop, Jazz, Rock, Classic and Normal. In plus the remote has buttons for increasing/decreasing both Bass and Treble so you can customize it as you like.
The sound is also powerful enough due to the two 10W speakers and the 30W subwoofer. I use the Big Beat in my living room and the sound is crystal clear and powerful enough to enjoy music.
A big plus of the Intempo is the remote control. Using it you can increase/decrease volume, Bass and Treble. Also you can play/pause, select the input, choose the equalizer mode and move to the next/previous track. This remote control is small and light and it is also very simple to use (it is intuitive and I used without problems without needing to read the manual first).
I tested the Big Beat using a smartphone and an Mp3 player. Synchronizing the audio system with the phone was easy. All the user needs to do is pair the devices. With the Mp3 player it was also simple – the Intempo features an Audio In and I connected my Mp3 player using a 3.5 audio jack. After this I was able to enjoy music without any problems.
When a song is playing the Equalizer LEDs start to bounce which creates an attractive visual effect.
In conclusion: the Intempo Big Beat is a cool Bluetooth audio system. It delivers a powerful and clear sound, it is simple to use and looks cool because of the LED powered Equalizer. The remote control is very useful and I especially like that I can adjust the Bass and Treble.
