Intel has published the specification for the next generation of USBs - USB 3.0 (SuperSpeed USB).
With version 0.9 released vendors can work to improve the interoperability of their USB 3.0 hardware.
USB 3.0 is an evolution of USB 2.0 that adds to take the bandwidth up to 4.7Gb/s.
The gadgets and gizmo manufacturers will build their new products having USB 3.0 in mind.
Intel is not the only company developing USB 3.0. Other companies working on this standard are
- Texas Instruments
- Microsoft
- HP
- NEC
The USB 3.0 is expected to be the number 1 solution in 2010.
